Meet us this SUNDAY, August 14 for a nice ride. We will be rolling at 1:00pm for a ride up to South Boston. Please meet at the Orange County ABC store (intersection of I-85 / US 70 – SEE BELOW**). This ride will be led by James and Tom. Hope you can make it out. Terri and I will be out of town, so we hope you have a good ride!!!
** ABC Store confusion. If you look up the address for the ABC Store in Orange County on Google maps, it puts it NO WHERE NEAR IT. If you want to pull it up on a map, the best address (within a store or two) is: 5300 Old Autumnwood Drive, Durham, NC. Plug that in and you will find it. I got so lost trying to find it the first time!

We are scheduling group rides during the lunch hour that day, as well as a meet up at MotorCo in Durham before a nice ride over to Bennett Pointe Grill for dinner. Bennett Pointe Grill has offered a 10% discount for motorcycle and scooter riders for that Monday.
In conjunction with our regular meeting, the Motorcycle Touring Association of NC will be participating in this National event. Please encourage everyone to ride to work on June 20, 2011, as well as being ever vigilant to our friends on two wheels. We hope to see you on the road for this wonderful event!
Cedar City, Utah June 20 – 23 The Motorcycle Touring Association (our parent organization) is promoting our annual meeting, “The Gathering”. This year, the event will be in Cedar City, UT. This is fabulous riding as I lived out in Utah for a couple of years, but my experience was more on the un-motorized 2 wheel machines during my mountain bike racing days. Two members of our local club, James H. and Tom. D. will be heading out west for the fun and to represent our local chapter. More information is available at the MTA website.
